Most Inspiring Books Ever Written

Inspiration can come from many places. For some, it’s a sunset. For others, it’s a piece of music. For many people, though, inspiration comes from books. Reading about the lives of others, even if the stories themselves are fictional, can inspire people to help others, be creative, or be honest about their own lives. Some of the most inspiring books ever written have impacted millions of people’s lives. Here are a few of these books that might inspire you.

The Art of Happiness

Written by the Dalai Lama himself, The Art of Happiness is mainly focused on the idea of self-reflection. You’ll learn how to look deeper into yourself—your life, your identity, and your decisions. All of this is done with the goal of learning what makes you happy. Once you know that, you’ll know your purpose. In turn, the Dalai Lama writes, you’ll be able to more clearly focus on what’s truly important. You’ll feel inspired and empowered to change your life and, through your actions, the world around you.

Catching A Miracle

Catching A Miracle, a novel by Mark Spinicelli is a fictional look at what happens when a brilliant doctor takes on the corporate world of medicine. Dr. Shelly White believes she can cure cancer, but in doing so, she learns that the pharmaceutical and medical industries are much more interested in simply treating the disease’s symptoms. Working with an advertising executive, Dr. White’s search for the cure eventually leads her to the NSA, the CIA, and even the President of the United States. Her quest is sure to inspire others, especially those who have battled cancer themselves because Dr. White is a survivor.

Tuesdays with Morrie

Many people first heard about Mitch Albom’s book when Oprah Winfrey selected it as one of her monthly book club titles. She would later go on to produce the movie adaptation of Tuesdays with Morrie, but while the film is certainly inspiring, it simply isn’t able to go into as much detail as the book. Albom recounts his years with his professor, mentor, and friend Morrie Schwartz in a way that is funny, poignant, sad, heartbreaking, and, above all, inspiring. The friendship the two shared is uplifting despite the fact that both know Morrie is dying. Many cite Tuesdays with Morrie as one of the most inspiring books ever written because the author knows his time with his friend is short and learns to make the most of it.

To Kill a Mockingbird

Another work of fiction, Harper Lee’s classic has inspired millions of readers to take a stand against what they see as unjust and wrong. While Scout may seem like an ordinary, happy girl at the beginning, she discovered how sheltered she has been when her father becomes embroiled in a controversial court case. While To Kill a Mockingbird revolves around racism, it has inspired people of all ages to stand up against many types of injustice and inequality.

Although the pilot might have a lot of years of experience on the job, the checklist still helps them to ensure there are no mistakes. By doing that, you can be able to properly navigate the different scenarios and come out on top.

The Art of War

This book by Sun Tzu has been in circulation for many years now. In life, we often face many challenges and it often seems like every challenge is out to bring your downfall. However, with the correct equipment and mindset, you can navigate them and be victorious. In life and business, many challenges feel like war. You then need a game plan, discipline, understanding the enemy (competition) and knowing how to create a multi-layered strategy in case of setbacks which there often is. When you read this book, you will get inspired and see that it’s possible to win the battles you are currently waging and also get some very important insights as to why you were defeated in other instances.

Of course, they are just a few of the most inspiring books ever written. If you’ve finished these four, there are many more inspirational books out there.

Try checking out The Four Agreements by Miguel Ruiz. It’s somewhat called ‘a practical guide to personal freedom’. It’s so inspiring that I read it twice.
